Membership Forms Frequently Asked Questionss- I'm not a member of HSCC but I am a member of a couple of other car clubs. Do I need to get a CAMS license before I can enter
one of your events?
As all of our events are CAMS sanctioned, we require that all entrants have a valid CAMS license.
To be issued with any CAMS license, you must be a member of a CAMS affiliated club. If the other clubs you are a member of are not CAMS affiliated, then you must join a CAMS club before you can be issued with a license.
- I was wondering if my car (Suzuki Swift GTI) will be fine in a club like yours?
All makes and models are more than welcome to join Holden Sporting Car Club Queensland. Our club was first formed in the late '60's as the Viva Car club (a Holden product) and remained associated with various Holden dealers until the early '90's. Since then, our emphasis has been firmly on the 'Sporting Car Club' part of our title and we accept all makes and models.
- I am interested in joining the HSCCQ. Could you please let me know the membership fees and basic requirements for a cams
license suitable for Touring Assemblies, Motorkhanas and Hillclimbs.
HSCCQ offers full membership for $40 (year) or associate membership for $30(year) with no joining fee. Download our membership form in Adobe Acrobat or Microsoft Word format.
The minimum license required for Motorkhanas, Touring Assemblies and Khanacross is a Level 2NS license ($50). If you have never had a CAMS license of any type before, a Level 1 license($25) is available and is valid only for the event for which it was issued (try before you buy). The Level 1 license can be upgraded to a Level 2 by paying CAMS the difference within 6 months. HSCCQ can provide you with the license application and you can choose to pay us or CAMS directly (by using the options available on the form). A level 2S license which will enable you to compete in speed events also (hillclimbs, autocross and sprints) is available for $95.
- What is the difference between full and associate membership?
Full membership is available to any applicant and allows them to obtain points in the club championship and also to vote at general club meetings. Associate members must be 'signed in' by a full member. The associate member is able to compete in club events, but does not accrue club championship points. All members receive a monthly newsletter and are invited to all club events, social and sporting.
